Karin

  • Meet Karin, one of our dedicated Podiatrists at Sky Podiatry, whose passion for sculpture art may surprise you. With a major in genetics for a science degree, Karin possesses a unique skill set that extends beyond foot care.

Walking the Kokoda trail during school, she stumbled upon live ammunition from World War II, showcasing her adventurous spirit.

Colleagues at Sky Podiatry describe Karin in various ways, from being a deep thinker and intelligent, to bubbly, generous, and knowledgeable. A seasoned professional, she is recognised for her honesty, experience, and dedication to patients, all while maintaining a great sense of humor.

Stepping out of her comfort zone, Karin mastered a new language, engaging in professional work and public speaking. Her personal mantra revolves around the belief that sometimes the hard and right things are one and the same, emphasising the importance of managing risks rather than avoiding them.

Embracing the work culture at Sky Podiatry, Karin appreciates the open environment and the pursuit of innovative solutions, aligning with her values of professionalism and excellence. Contributing to the distinctive culture, she emphasises the importance of standard care and a conducive physical work environment.

Leigh

  • Meet Leigh de Jong, our energetic and passionate General Manager at Sky Podiatry.

Leigh loves seeing positive outcomes for both the team and their patients, and he’s often found enjoying a chat at the front desk. Known for being genuine and always up for a laugh, he helps create a workplace where everyone feels valued, no matter their role or how long they’ve been with the clinic.

Outside of work, Leigh is all about family life. He enjoys coaching and being part of his children’s sporting activities, and he’s always ready with a good dad joke. Food is another love, with carbonara and chicken parmi with chips topping his favourites list.

Never one to shy away from adventure, Leigh once went bungee jumping in New Zealand. He lives by the mantra “It’s a constant quest to try to be better today than we were yesterday and better tomorrow than you were the day before”. Recently, he’s learned the importance of embracing change rather than fearing it.

Around the clinic, you might also hear him called by one of his nicknames: Fridge, Kelvinator, or simply Kelv. Whatever the name, Leigh brings energy, humour, and a commitment to making Sky Podiatry a welcoming and supportive place for both staff and patients.

Emma

  • Meet Emma Davie, our chatty, energetic Podiatry Assistant, Receptionist, and Lab Technician at Sky Podiatry.

Emma thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves the fun, supportive atmosphere at the clinic. For her, one of the best parts of the job is connecting with patients, having a chat, and making people feel at ease. Colleagues know her for her lively energy and the laughs she brings to the team each day.

Outside of work, Emma enjoys baking, reading, camping, and keeping active at the gym. She has a real passion for baking, often making birthday cakes for family and friends, as well as baking bread and desserts just for fun. Her favourite movie is The Lion King, and she’s always happy listening to some classic Aussie dad rock.

Adventurous by nature, Emma has even been skydiving. She lives by the motto “Fill up your own cup, and let them fall in love with the overflow”, a reminder to look after herself so she can give her best to others.

With her energy, positivity, and genuine care for people, Emma is an important part of the Sky Podiatry team, bringing warmth and enthusiasm to everything she does.

Tiana

  • Meet Tiana, the vibrant and friendly face you’ll often see first when you arrive at Sky Podiatry, Mowbray.

As our Medical Receptionist, she brings a bubbly, sociable nature and a positive energy that helps create a welcoming experience for every patient. Tiana thrives in a team environment where everyone brings their own strengths but comes together with a shared sense of care and collaboration. One of the most rewarding parts of her role is getting to know patients, hearing their stories, and being that familiar, friendly presence when they walk through the door.

Tiana began her very first reception role at Sky Podiatry as a teenager, growing into her position with the support of a kind and encouraging team. She values the mix of professionalism and fun that defines the workplace, where mutual respect and lighthearted banter make each day both productive and enjoyable.

Outside of work, Tiana enjoys life’s simple pleasures: shopping, grabbing a matcha to go, taking sunny walks, or spending time at the beach, her favourite place to unwind in any weather. Music is always part of her world, from alternative rock to R&B and reggae, and when it’s time to relax, she loves unwinding with The Vampire Diaries or the latest season of Love Island.

Known for her adventurous, sometimes “impulsive” spirit, Tiana embraces stepping outside her comfort zone and trying new things. Her personal motto, “Everything happens for a reason,” reflects her hopeful outlook and trust in life’s bigger picture. Through challenges, she has learned the value of independence, relying on her resilience, self-belief, and determination to stay grounded when life feels uncertain.

Tiana’s warmth, adventurous spirit, and genuine care for others make her an essential part of the Sky Podiatry team, someone patients and colleagues alike are always glad to see.

Heidi

  • Meet Heidi, one of our caring and easy-going Receptionists at Sky Podiatry.

For Heidi, the best part of her role is getting the chance to brighten someone’s day. Known for being a great listener, she’s the kind of person patients and colleagues alike can rely on for kindness, thoughtfulness, and a smile. She loves being part of the Sky Podiatry team because it feels respectful and fun, a place where everyone looks out for each other.

Outside of work, Heidi is studying psychology and has a big love for music, whether that’s listening at home or heading out to concerts. She’s also a keen traveller and once had a house filled with over 80 plants. Thai food and the movie Spirited Away are among her favourites, and she’s even snorkelled with turtles and stingrays while exploring new places.

Heidi lives by the mantra “You suffer as long as you decide to”, a reminder to choose kindness toward herself and others. Taking a gap year helped her discover what truly interests her and taught her the importance of self-compassion.

Sky Podiatry is proud to have Heidi at the front desk, bringing warmth, curiosity, and a passion for people into every interaction.
